Marlow & Finch Social Launch

Marlow & Finch Skincare, Portland, OR

Our Success Stories

Project Overview

A welcome flow, 14 creators and repeat orders up 71%. A skincare brand relied on discounts to bring customers back. We built four email flows, a creator program with tracked codes and a social calendar cut from one weekly article. Social posts were product photos with a price. The brand paid three large creators for single posts and could not say what any of them had sold.

Key Results And Tangible Business Benefits

Marlow & Finch had 18,000 email subscribers and sent them the same sale announcement twice a month. Two thirds of customers ordered once and never returned. Over twelve months the work below changed the numbers that matter to the business, not just the ones that look good on a chart.

What We Did

Five Pieces of Work, In This Order

  1. 01

    Four automated email flows

Welcome, abandoned cart, a day-21 routine check-in and a 90-day win-back, each written by an editor.

  2. 02

    A newsletter with one idea

Replaced sale blasts with a fortnightly ingredient explainer and a single product link.

  3. 03

    Fourteen smaller creators

Swapped three large accounts for 14 vetted creators, each with a tracked code and a one-page brief.

  4. 04

    One article, five posts

Every weekly guide was cut into a carousel, a short video and three posts, so social fed search and email.

  5. 05

    Creator content reused in ads

The six best creator videos ran as paid social, with spend following cost per sale.

  6. Services used

Team: Social lead, email writer, analyst

Timeline

How The Year Ran

  1. 01

    Month 1

List clean, deliverability fixes and flow copy.

  2. 02

    Months 2 to 3

Flows live, newsletter relaunched, creators briefed.

  3. 03

    Months 4 to 6

Two creator waves and first paid social tests.

  4. 04

    Months 7 to 12

Rebooked creators, seasonal flows, quarterly list clean.

The day-21 email does more for repeat orders than any sale we ever ran, and it costs us nothing to send.
