Frequently Asked Questions

Sixteen Questions, Answered Plainly

The things people ask before a first call, grouped by subject. If yours is missing, ask it and we will add it.

Part 1 of 4

Getting started

A person on our team reviews your site, Search Console data if you share it, and three competitors. Within five working days you receive a short document naming the three fixes most likely to grow organic traffic, with the reasoning behind each. There is no sales call unless you ask for one.

Technical fixes often show within two to six weeks. New content usually takes three to six months to rank well, and the effect compounds from there. We set expectations by channel and by page type in the first month, in writing.

Yes. Roughly a third of our sample clients have fewer than 20 employees. The Foundation retainer and one-off audits are designed for teams without an in-house marketer.

WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, BigCommerce, HubSpot CMS, Contentful and custom builds. If your developers can ship a ticket, we can work with the stack.

Working together

4 questions

A strategist who leads the work and writes your reports, plus specialists as needed: a technical lead, writers, an editor and a PR lead. You meet all of them in the first two weeks, and the team does not change without notice.

A written update every Friday, a call every two weeks and a two-page report each month. You also have a shared channel for questions, answered within one working day.

Plan for two to three hours a week in the first month for interviews and approvals, and about an hour a week after that. Subject experts are interviewed for 30 minutes at a time.

Often. We regularly hand briefs to in-house writers, share a backlog with developers and coordinate with paid media agencies.

Contracts and pricing

Three months, because that is the shortest period in which organic work can be judged fairly. After that the agreement is month to month with 30 days notice.

The work is identical. Paying quarterly in advance reduces the fee by 8%, which reflects the admin it saves both sides.

You do. Content, research, dashboards and accounts are yours from the day they are created. If we part ways, everything stays with you.

No. Nobody controls search results, and a guarantee usually means shortcuts. We commit to the work, the schedule and honest reporting, and we share the ranges we have seen for similar clients.

Method

4 questions

We earn them through digital PR: original data, expert commentary and stories worth citing. We do not buy links, trade them or use private networks.

For research, outlines and analysis where they save time. Published content is written, fact-checked and edited by people, and we disclose sources.

We lead with outcomes: leads, revenue and pipeline from organic search, tied to landing pages. Traffic and rankings are reported as supporting detail.

We say so early, explain what we think is happening and propose a change. If the approach is not working after two quarters, we will tell you before you have to ask.
